Yoga Instructor at New Order Yoga
Erika Wulff Jones is an innovative and devoted yoga teacher in Austin, TX.
She has over 500 hours of training and well over 1,000 hours of practice.
She holds a certification in Adaptive Yoga which inspired her to create her own method of teaching, New Order Yoga. Erika graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Comparative History. Her focus was in cultural conflict resolution which led her down a lifelong path of advocating for non-violence, human rights and world peace.
She has combined her diverse interests including music, meditation, nutrition and travel into her yoga career.
Erika’s yoga journey began during her college days at University of Washington, where a casual observation led to a life-changing passion. Besides the physical benefits, yoga has granted her a deeper knowledge of self, mental tranquility, and has expanded her spirituality. She considers yoga one of the greatest gifts she has ever received.
Through her personalized method, New Order Yoga, she has been able to provide individual sessions designed to meet her clients’ unique goals. Unlike other standardized styles of yoga, Erika teaches with an open-minded approach to wellness, valuing the individual’s journey above conformity. Based on the principle of collaboration, New Order Yoga thrives mainly due to her desire to connect with and help each client on their yogic journey.
Her hobbies reflect her multifaceted personality. From a young age, she loved listening to music. At age 13, she bought a used guitar at a garage sale and was hooked. Since then, she has played in several bands in her Seattle and early Austin days. Though she no longer performs, she will always have a lifelong romance with music. Her environmental setting as a child drew her towards tennis. Growing up across the street from a tennis park, it seemed like destiny that she would take to the sport, which she has enjoyed for over 30 years. During her education at the University of Washington, Erika majored in an innovative program called the Comparative History of Ideas. This helped set her foundation for viewing the world through diverse perspectives. Through the department’s study abroad program, she spent a year traveling to high-conflict areas, including South Africa, Cyprus, and Northern Ireland. This experience fueled her passion for travel; she has visited many countries ever since.
Erika has always harbored a deep sense of responsibility towards her community and is actively engaged in numerous charitable activities. From her time with Americorps in Seattle to volunteering as a phone operator for the National Domestic Hotline, her actions reflect a profound empathy for those in need. Perhaps most notably, she initiated the “Seva” group at Eastside Yoga, organizing voluntary activities within the Austin area.
With her collaborative spirit and yearning to make a difference in society, she has been a generous philanthropist for various organizations. These include Central Texas Foodbank, National Domestic Violence Hotline, Fontenelle Forest, and various organizations that fight Human Trafficking.
Erika married the well-known political radio host Alexander Jones of Infowars.com in January 2017. The couple met through a mutual friend in 2014 at a sushi restaurant in Austin. She was vaguely familiar with his work and accused him of being homophobic and racist due to the media sensationalism around his show. This led to a deep discussion that got them acquainted. She vehemently supports her husband’s fight to dismantle the globalist anti-human agenda and the struggle for human rights and personal freedom, posting regularly on her X account, which you can follow here.
